Soakin' Up The Sun!!!!

Well, our day today has been absolutely PERFECT!!!! We woke up this morning to the brightest and warmest sunshine that we have seen the whole time we've been here!!!! Yay!!! Suitcases packed, swimsuits and shorts on...and we met at the school at 8:30 this morning so we could load up the bus and head to the hotel. The moment that we had all been dreading came around 9:00am when the Logos and Dayton teams had to say "adios" -- hugs and tears were all around. It was obvious proof of how close our two teams had become these past two weeks.


Once we finally were able to tear ourselves away, we took a 30 minute bus ride and we on our way to our hotel. The sun was still shining and so were our faces. The Lord granted us the smoothest check in that we have ever had....and we got everything settled in 30 minutes!! We took our million and one suitcases to my room (the only one that was ready since we were checking in early) and then we headed to lunch, a really good buffet lunch with lots of yummy options. After that, it was time to head out to the beach....which is where we stayed allllllll daaaaaaayyyyy looooong!!!!!! Swimming, kayaking, volleyball, laying out, pizza, pina coladas & strawberry daquiris. What a day!!! What a wonderful day. Now it's evening and we just finished dinner. Some of us are pretty tired and will be going to bed soon...and some will take a midnight stroll down the beach with Shawnda and me. Tomorrow morning we will have breakfast at 9am and then spend a couple more hours on the beach before we eat a quick lunch at noon and then head to the airport at 2pm. Here's hoping that tomorrow is just as sunny as today was!! =]
