Host Families!!!!

During the time that we are in the Santo Domingo, we will be staying with the students from Logos Christian School. Sixteen Dominican families have graciously opened their hearts and homes to us and are looking forward to us being a part of their families almost as much as we are. This will be a great experience for our team as we are able to see and learn about Dominican culture first hand, up close and personal. There will be plenty of opportunities for the students to learn about Dominican family life, try new Dominican cuisine and, of course, practice their Spanish skills that they have been learning in my classroom all year. In every home, there will be at least one (and often times more than one) person who also speaks English in addition to Spanish...so that will help in those emergency "Help, I can't figure out how to turn on the hot water" moments! We are so ready, eager...and yes, maybe even a little nervous to meet our host families face to face in just a couple of days...but we are definitely excited and so very thankful for their gracious hospitality! ¡Gracias, Logos!
